22 year old, proud New Yorker.
I watch too much tv and I often spam my favorites lots.
I'm a loyal follower of Whedon and too many sci-fi movie cultures.
I wish I grew up in the 1950s and I die for classic movies.
I love gowns and have an odd infatuation with weddings.
I’m a travel enthusiast (which is putting it lightly).
I’m COMPLETELY ADDICTED to mac and cheese and full sour pickles.
I like to speak my mind and geek out a lot.
After four years of studying Italian (non-consecutively) I’m convinced I can still speak it but am often proven that I can not.
I think wishful thinking is good for the soul.

TV: 3rd Rock from the Sun, 30 Rock, Arrested Development, The Big Bang Theory, Bones, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Community, Criminal Minds, Firefly, Friends, Fringe, Glee, Greek, Grey’s, How I Met Your Mother, Lie to Me, The Mentalist, The Office, Pushing Daisies, Raising Hope, Supernatural, True Blood, White Collar, Will and Grace …. you get the idea.

MOVIES: Arsenic and Old Lace, Bringing Up Baby, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Dark Knight, Empire Records, The Fall, Harry Potter, Inception, Iron Man, Love Me if You Dare, The Philadelphia Story, St. Trinians, Star Trek, Star Wars, and usually anything superhero related.

When you grow up you tend to get told the world is the way it is and your life is just to live your life inside the world. Try not to bash into the walls too much. Try to have a nice family, have fun, save a little money.

That’s a very limited life. Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact: Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use.

Once you learn that, you’ll never be the same again.

I remember sitting in his backyard, in his garden one day, and he started talking about God. He said, ‘Sometimes I believe in God; sometimes I don’t. It’s 50-50 maybe. But ever since I have cancer, I’ve been thinking about it more, and I find myself believing a bit more. …Maybe it’s because I wanna believe in an afterlife; that when you die, it doesn’t just all disappear, the wisdom you’ve accumulated, somehow it lives on.’

Then he paused for a second, and he said, ‘Yeah, but sometimes I think it’s like an on/off switch: Click! And you’re gone. And (he) paused again and said ‘That’s why I don’t like putting on/off switches on Apple devices.’

Now, I’m a big time atheist. But this quote makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” — Steve Jobs
Rest in peace, Mr. Jobs.

“That’s been one of my mantras — focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.”
Truly an inspirational creative genius and influential legend.
Rest in peace, Mr. Jobs.

Proud to be a Apple-head all my life.

Steve Jobs has inspired, motivated and heck, even helped me in so many ways. I’m proud to be typing this on my macbook and getting ready to buy my first iphone on friday. Thanks, Steve Jobs, for being a fucking genius.

I don’t tend to make or reblog more than one post about a certain subject in the news, but as a designer I have to have this one on my blog. It’s not only powerful in the thematic sense of what has direly happened, but it’s a brilliant play on the now classic design. Kudos to the creator of this image.
